The Federation of Australian Buddhist Councils seeks to promote disabled access to places ofworship for the Buddhist community. While the Federation recognises that there is a broad spectrumof disabilities in the community, the purpose of this Statement of Intention is solely concerned withphysical access.

Buddhist Council of Vicotria will circulate the Statement amongst member temples, actively participate in raising awareness of disability issues, encourage the distribution and completion of the Disability Audit and provide guidance in making temples physically accessible.
