Dear Dharma Friends,Nalandra takes pleasure in welcoming special guest teacher,Venerable Khenpo Ngawang who will impart the Madhyamika (Middle Way) teachings of Nagarjuna over the weekend of 30 June – 1 July 2018.
Session 1, Saturday 30 June, 10am-12pm
The aspirational thought/Bodhichitta, a spontaneous wish to attain enlightenment motivated by compassion for all sentient beings, accompanied by the falling away of the attachment to the illusion of an inherently existing self.
Session 2, Saturday 30 June, 2pm-4pm
The 12 interdependent links, a doctrine of Buddhism where each link is asserted as a primary casual relationship between the connected links.
Session 3, Sunday 1 July, 10am-12pm
The 16 emptinesses/shunyata, a Buddhist concept which has multiple meanings depending on its doctrinal context.
Session 4, Sunday 1 July, 2pm-4pm
A summary of the Madhyamika view/absolute reality.
Please note that you must attend the first session to attend the others.
It is our good fortune that Khenpo-la has generously accepted the request to visit Nalandra whilst Rinpoche is in retreat. Khenpo-la’s pragmatic understanding and abundant knowledge of the Dharma make this an opportunity not to be missed.
